It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Devonia Simmons (Bowling Green, Kentucky), who passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Edward Pedigo and Mildred Marion Pedigo; and her husband Maxie Simmons. She is survived by: her children, Mike Basham (Michelle) and Sherry Nichols; her sister Jennifer Burton; her grandchildren, Haley Rogers (Chatman), Paige Basham, Emily Hunton, Dillon Hunton, Amber Waid (Collin), Savannah Billups (Ben) and Peyton Nichols; and her nephew Luke Burton (Cara). She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel (820 Lovers Ln, Bowling Green, KY 42103). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
