Barbara Gillihan Sackett Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Gillihan Sackett of Bowling Green, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 24, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oakley Gillihan and Lala B "Polly" Gillihan; her husband Eugene Sackett; and her sisters, Doris Gillihan and Evelyn Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Sid Owens (Sandy), Terry "Toad" Owens and Carrie Smith (Dorian Lee); her grandchildren, Jeff Coulter, Cody Owens (Katie), Quenton Smith and Mackenzie Lewis (Stevon Jr.); her great grandchildren, Lucas Owens, Hudson Smith, Pearl Smith and Stevon Lewis III; and her sister Patricia Vaughn. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel (820 Lovers Ln, Bowling Green, KY 42103). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
