She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Lee Dowell and Mary Elizabeth Dowell; her grandparents, Jesse and Annie Dowell (Anderson); and her husband Herman John Rice, Jr. (H. J.).

She is survived by: her children, John Theodore Rice of Waverly, Tennessee, William David Rice Sr. of Stephensport, Kentucky and Bobbi JoHanna Sexton (Paul) of Bowling Green, Kentucky.; and her grandsons, William David Rice Jr. of Stephensport and Ben Thomas Sexton of Arlington, Virginia..

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in loving memory of Anna to the Hosparus Health Barren River - Bowling Green.
