Johnson and Gillie (Edward Cage); her children, LaSkysha Bigbee, Averionia Bigbee, Stephon "Bubba" Bigbee and Nevaeh Bigbee; her siblings, Natalie Cage-Hines (George), Larry Bernard Johnson (Tasha), Jermaine Johnson (Tiffany), Gillie Bell Sweatt (Roy), Gloria Dean Cage, Flora Mae Ligon (T. C.), Frances J. Cage, Kathleen Cage, Edward A. Cage (Missy), Robert L. Cage, Charles W. Cage, Kenneth W. Cage, Ricky O. Cage and Bryan O. Cage; her grandchildren, Alani Rogers, Amari Perry and Ashten Perry; and the fathers of children, Stephon Bigbee and John Byers.

She is the founder of "The Amanda Strong Foundation".
