He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin A. Hibbs Sr. and Beatrice Coomes Hibbs; and his siblings, Franklin A. Hibbs, Jr. and Eleanor Hibbs Cecil. He is survived by: his wife Donna Kinser Hibbs; his sons, Jeffrey Lee Hibbs of Boston and Justus Edward Hibbs of Boston; his siblings, Johnny Hibbs of Cox's Creek, Rodman Dickerson of Bardstown, Jane Crume of Bardstown, Bernadette Hibbs of Bardstown and Susan Hibbs of Pawley's Island; and his family, Terry, Lysa Drake, Kobe and Cocker Spaniel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Boston Christian Church (195 Petersburg Rd, Boston, KY 40107).
