He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Richey and Beulah Richey; and his brother Kenneth Richey. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Pickerell Richey; his children, Ruel K. Richey, Jr. (Anna), Paula Shipp (David) and Connie Sissom (Kurt); and his sisters, Ruby Cochran and Patty Brewer. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
