He was predeceased by: his brother Lloyd Burton, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Joy Lafawn Guthrie Burton; his children, Karen Burton Pike (Chris), Michael Burton (Tabatha Carney), Jimmy Burton (Leslie) and Kimberly Burton (Colm McGuckian); his stepson Zachary Underwood; his brother Alvin Burton (Elizabeth "Cissy"); and his sister-in-law Mary Burton. He is also survived by his family, particularly his wife and children.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mill Creek Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
