She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles C. Barnes and Ethel Pauline Barnes; her husband Clellon "Kelly" Shewmaker; her brothers, James Owen, Charles and Eddie; and her granddaughter Lisa.

She is survived by: her son Kelly Shewmaker; her stepchildren, Gary Shewmaker and Linda McNally; and her siblings, Elaine Girard (Mike), Joe Barnes (Rachel), Edie Richardson (Dave), Martha Bennett (Roger), David Barnes (Cookie), Cathy Fox, Steve Barnes (Marie) and Mike Barnes (Cathy). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
