He is survived by: his mother Geneva Kay Stapleton (Jewell); his wife Shelly Stapleton; his son James Stapleton IV of Beattyville, KY; his sisters, Margaret Stapleton Fox (Stanley) of Beattyville, KY and Mary Stapleton Spencer of Beattyville, KY; his sister-in-law Sondra Seale Abney (Ronald) of Beattyville, KY; and his nieces and nephews, Jeremy Fox, Jared Mays, Markie Mays, Courtney Charles, Austin Abney and Dylan Abney. He is also survived by other loving family members, and friends.
