It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tonya Karen Sams of Bonnyman, Kentucky, born in Hazard, Kentucky, who passed away on December 3, 2020, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent J. B. Whitaker. She is survived by: her mother Patricia Carol Young Hurt; her daughter Amy Darnell Vires; her siblings, Jerry L. Woods, Kerman Wendell Whitaker, Gregory Brian Whitaker and Laura Denise Woods of Hyden, KY.; her grandsons, Gage Darrell Wayne Asher and Aaron Blake Dwayne Asher; her niece Tonda Collins; her nephew Chris Johnson; and her close friend Mary Brown. She is also survived by other relatives & friends.
