He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleve Monk and Mary Jane Ward Monk; his siblings, Cleveland Monk, Viola and Bonnie; and his granddaughter Christy Collins.
He is survived by: his wife Bernita Monk of Bonnyman, KY; his children, Wayney Couch of Yerkes, Carter Jr. Couch of Yerkes, Lisa Holbrook, Kevin of Big Creek, Melissa Couch of Bonnyman, Bobby Lynn Monk and Rhonda of Richmond, KY; his grandchildren, Nathan, Cameron, Dalton, Dominic, Anthony, Aaron, Allie, Megan, Alfred and Miranda; and his great grandchildren, Natalie, Gage, Ryleigh, Ava, Ryder and Macie. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Christian Fellowship Church at Busy, Kentucky.
