He is survived by: his wife Claudine Whitis (Downey) of Boaz; his children, Craig Whitis (Angie) of Boaz and Lindy Steele (Chad) of Benton; his siblings, Terrell Whitis (Loretta) of Boaz and Shirley Hudson of Reidland; and his grandchildren, Chase Whitis, Nathan Steele and Collin Whitis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
