He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Yewell and Glady Fleener Yewell; his son Alan Yewell; and his siblings, Voyne Yeiser, Edna Anderson, Avis Moye and Frank "Doc" Yewell.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Santeford Yewell; his sons, Gary Yewell (Linda) of Boaz, Kentucky and Rodney Yewell of Boaz, Kentucky; his sister Barbara Withrow (Raymond) of Owensboro, Kentucky; his daughter-in-law Vanette Yewell; his grandchildren, Candice Stimson, Caitlin Yewell, Brooke Lawrence (Mike), Meagan Wray, Hunter Yewell, Walker Yewell and Wesley Yewell (Sonia); and his great grandchildren, Brooklyn Lawrence, Elli'J Lawrence, Madlyn Wray, Miley Wray, Mabry Beyer, Anna Dale Yewell, Logan Yewell, Sophia Yewell and Maverick Yewell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
