He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomas (J. T.) and Sue Hupp Sparrow; his sisters, Doris Hodge and Betty Meeks Snider; his nephew Brother Roger Dale Hodge; and his brother-in-law Allen Canterbury.
He is survived by: his brother Tom; his wife Wanda Alice Canterbury Sparrow; his children, Pamela Sue Hasty (Brian) of Scottsburg Indiana and David Sparrow Jr. (Jessica) of Bloomfield; his siblings-in-law, Bill Canterbury (Sherri) and Marilyn Canterbury; his grandchildren, Trey Sparrow, Cooper Sparrow, Emma Sparrow, Chelsey Combs (Tyler) and Morgan Brock (Bryan); and his great grandchildren, Elie, Josiah Combs and Mikenzie Brock.
