The memory of Thomas Sparrow Sr. of Bloomfield, Kentucky, who passed away on December 24, 2024 at the age of 80, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomas (J. T.) and Sue Hupp Sparrow; his sisters, Doris Hodge and Betty Meeks Snider; his nephew Brother Roger Dale Hodge; and his brother-in-law Allen Canterbury.
He is survived by: his brother Tom; his wife Wanda Alice Canterbury Sparrow; his children, Pamela Sue Hasty (Brian) of Scottsburg Indiana and David Sparrow Jr. (Jessica) of Bloomfield; his siblings-in-law, Bill Canterbury (Sherri) and Marilyn Canterbury; his grandchildren, Trey Sparrow, Cooper Sparrow, Emma Sparrow, Chelsey Combs (Tyler) and Morgan Brock (Bryan); and his great grandchildren, Elie, Josiah Combs and Mikenzie Brock.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Houghlin Funeral Home (119 Fairfield Hill Rd, Bloomfield, KY 40008). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Highview Cemetery.
