He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Hubbard Saylor; his daughter-in-law Loretta Saylor (Teddy); his grandson Christopher "Shortie" Morgan; his siblings, Lee, John Henry, Kayle, Wilkie, Iva, Fannie and Carrie; and his half-brother John.

He is survived by: his parents, Henry Saylor and Sarah Brock Saylor; and his brother Denver Saylor of Bledsoe, KY. He is also survived by grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
