He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Blanton and Polly Katherine Caldwell Blanton; and his brother Ernest Blanton. He is survived by: his wife Deborah L. Smith Blanton; his sons, Dustin Blanton (Amanda Smith) and Cody Blanton (Ashley Rucker); his grandchildren, Hailey Nevaeh Blanton, Dustin Carl Blanton and Beverly Blanton; his siblings, Silas Blanton, Doug Blanton (Debra), Kathy Blanton, Annette Pierce (John), Carol Salyers, Melissa Blanton, Melinda Swartz (Tim), Paula Schmitz (Mark), Bessie Helton Tafe and Jody Blanton (Missy); and his stepmother Sheila Blanton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
