He was predeceased by: his parents, Van Herald and Ann Dee Brown; and his wife Arlene Brown. He is survived by: his children, Daniel Tate Hale, Samantha Nicole Hale, Andrew Thomas Brown, Terry Levi Brown and Steven Michael Brown; and his sister Sunny Brown (Jimmy Daniels). He is also survived by several grandchildren; one great grandchild.
