He is survived by: his wife Shirley Sexton Eldridge; his children, Mark Eldridge (Bertha) of Blackey, Mike Eldridge (Georgia) of Blackey, Scottie Eldridge (Maggie) of Campbranch, Varon Jr. Eldridge (Melissa) of Blackey, Teresa Watts (Casey) of Redstar, Nettie Slone (Roby) of Woodrock, Tiffany Slone (Kevin) of Woodrock and David Sturgill (Glenda) of Little Colley; and his siblings, Mason, Kermit, Grant, Bruce, Benne, Etna, Maxie and Nellie.
