With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thelma Jean Merida of Bimble, Kentucky, who passed away on October 19, 2021 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Smith and Reathy Childers Smith; her husband Curtis Merida; her brothers, John Henry, Burchell, Earl Dean, Harold, Lewis and Melvin Smith; and her son-in-law Roger Wagers.

She is survived by: her children, Tammy Michelle Wagers of Bimble, Steven Smith of Bimble, Tracy Lynn Smith of Bimble, Josh Allen of Bimble and Todd Curtis Merida (Rebecca) of Georgetown; her siblings, Artie Mae Stacy (John C.) of Jeffersonville, IN, Alta Mae Grubb of Big Rapids, MI and Billy Smith (Edna) of Barbourville; her grandchildren, Kyle Wayne Wagers (Britany), Bradly Derek Wagers, Amber Hope Hibbard (Daniel), Ashton Blake Smith (Jeremy), Gabriel Todd Merida, Jude Carson Merida and Silas James Merida; and her great grandchildren, Preslie Michelle Wagers, Jade Olivia Jackson, Kylee Lena Danielle Hibbard, Camden Jace Hibbard and Lauren Alexis Smith.
