He was predeceased by: his parents, Evy Russ and Marie Massingill Russ Matlock; his daughter Kimberly Jo Sampson; and his siblings, Ruth Ann West and Elmer Russ.
He is survived by: his significant other Greta Sampson of Bimble; his son Michael Sampson of Bimble; his grandchildren, Emily Jones and Aaron Sampson; his siblings, Zelma Woolum of Barbourville, Don Russ of Evansville, IN, Larry Russ (Theresa) of Detroit, MI and Clell Russ (Linda) of Harvard, IL; his daughter Tina Rose of West Virginia; his grandchildren, Brittany and Jeremy Rose; and his close friend Tiffany Moore of Corbin.
