He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edna Coots (Vernon) and Charlie Coots; his wife Jacqueline Coots (Gay); his children, Charles Jeffery Coots (Meshell) of Jackson, KY, Jonathan Eric Coots (Carlene) of Big Creek, KY and Christina Suzanne Caldwell (Rodney Corbett) of Big Creek, KY.; his brothers, Rev. Billy Edward Coots (Shirley) of Grove City, OH and David Coots (Becky) of London, KY; his grandchildren, Danielle Hope Brandenburg, Jeffery Alexander Coots, Charles Matthew Coots, Jarrod Thomas Coots, Jonathan Tyler Coots, Eric Ryan Coots and Aiden Corbett Caldwell; his great grandchildren, John Luke Coots and Hallie Grace Coots; and his brother Everett C. Coots.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery South East in Hyden, KY.
