He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry Dean and Cova Yates Dean; his grandson Gavin Wayne Langley; and his brothers, Murrell and James "Larry" Dean.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Nichols Dean; his children, Robyn Kipper (Paul) of Big Clifty, Rhonda Roof (Kenny) of Clarkson, Sophie Dean of Big Clifty and Stephen Sarver (Tonya); his grandchildren, Dalton, Jonathan, Evah, William, Devin, Stevie and Jayden; and his great grandchildren, Nova, Kane, Liam and Willow.
