He was predeceased by: his wife Ramona Ellen Pierce; and his parents, Thomas R. Pierce and Christine Scott Pierce. He is survived by: his children, Scott Pierce (Paggy) of Big Clifty and Christy Turpin of Harrodsburg; his sister Wanda Smallwood of Garfield; and his grandchildren, Justin Pierce, Jessica Pierce, Ben Pierce, Sylvia Neal, Emily Turpin and Melody Wilson. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
