He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Pence, Sr. and Clara Belle Watkins Moore; his former wife Delores Hart Pence; his stepparents, Lena Bell Pence and Charles Moore; his siblings, Lillian Hart, Marlene Browning, Willie Pence and Allen Pence; and his stepbrother Jimmy Howard.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Pence of Big Clifty; his son James R. Pence (Karen) of Virginia; his granddaughter Kimberly Pence of Stafford, Virginia; his brother Wilbur Pence, Jr. of White Mills; his stepbrother Rex Howard (Pam) of Bowling Green, KY; and his sisters-in-law, Julie Pence of Elizabethtown and Sharon Pence of Louisville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
