He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Adkins and Elizabeth Lewis Adkins; and his siblings, Bill, Woodrow, Ed Adkins and Georgia Hillstrom.
He is survived by: his sisters, Nancy Justice, Betsy Layne and Barbara Sword. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
