She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville McKinney and Opal Kidd McKinney; her stepchildren, Ricky Joe Sturgill and Sharon Jean Smith; her siblings, Junior, Carl McKinney, Helen Ledbetter, Juanita McKinney, Avanell Frasure and Sylvia Ramey; and her stepsister Betty Beverly.

She is survived by: her son Arnold Sturgill, Jr. (Linda) of Betsy Layne, KY; her stepchildren, Michael Darrell Sturgill of Paintsville, KY and Karen Lynn Howard of Hueysville, KY; her daughter Marellen Adkins (Ray) of Honaker, KY; her stepsiblings, Edith Butcher (Jerry), Cheryl Beeman, Gail Wyatt and Clyde Meadows (Carolyn); and her grandchild Kyle. She is also survived by six step grandchildren, nine step great grandchildren and one step great-great grandchild.
