She was predeceased by: her parents, Shelby Bruin and Roseina Mains Bruin; her husband Charles L. Cooper; and her siblings, Cora Mae Colvin, Naomi Teegarden Wilson, L. W. Bruin and Billy Lucas.
She is survived by: her children, Charles L. Cooper (Sherry), Rodney Cooper (Pat) and Bernadine Cooper (Ronnie Jones); her brother Shelby Bruin; and her grandchildren, Chuck, Timmy, Crisy, Deanna, Leslie and Kadie. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
