He is survived by: his wife Deborah Ann Vest Mitchell; his daughter Cathy Martin (Donald) of St. Jacob, IL; his stepsons, Robert Thomas McCandless (Cassie) of Berry, KY and Matthew Edward McCandless of Berry, KY; his grandchildren, Lori Applegate of Richmond, KY, Joshua Applegate (Emily) of Salem, OR, Nolan McCandless of Berry, KY, Kash McCandless of Berry, KY and Parker McCandless of Berry, KY; his great grandchild Marlee Applegate; and his sister Gerry Stephens of Carlisle, KY. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
