He is survived by: his wife Helen Kozlowski Benson; his children, Robert Leonard Benson, III of Richmond, KY and Beth Benson Mueller (Brian) of Fort Collins, CO; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Seelen, Andrew Benson, Jr., Hunter Mueller and Gabrielle "Gabby" Mueller; and his great grandchildren, Joasten Seelen, Hunter Williams and Ainsley Benson.
