She was predeceased by: her parents, Elgan Atwood and Anna Katherine Hamm Stapp. She is survived by: her husband Walker Mays; her daughter Gayle Carpenter; her grandson Derek Cruse; her son-in-law Danny Land; her brother Elgan Atwood Stapp II; her daughters, Vicky Hubbard (Jerry) and Bonnie Land; her grandsons, Dwayne Cruse (Carlina), Jared Hughes (Lisa), Jason Hubbard and Austin Land; and her great grandchildren, Kayli Hubbard, Daniel Cruse, Ally Dawn Cruse and Cash Land. She is also survived by three nieces, and one nephew.
