He was predeceased by: his parents, John Willie and Allie Mae Sloas; and his siblings, Willie Linville, Ezra, Estill, Dorothy, Mary, Johnnie, Elwood and Carl Lee.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Catherine Sloas; his children, Alan Lee Sloas (Nicole), Kevin Roy Sloas (Toni) and Elizabeth Catherine Phelps (Jeff); and his siblings, Ruth Thomas (Darrell) and Lowell Sloas. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
