He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Seals and Ida Chasteen Seals; his son-in-law Bobby Mosier; his siblings, Onita Rhodus, Monroe, Earnest, Bluford and Oscar Seals; and his daughters, Patti Seals Colyer and Cathy Seals Mosier.

He is survived by: his sisters, Marie Todd, Mayme Brumfield (Don) and Lorraine Lake; his grandchildren, Emily Harrison, Miranda Bristow (Drew), Andrew Colyer (Autumn) and Zachary Mosier (Rebecca); and his great grandchildren, Grayson Bristow, Oakley Bristow, Hudson Colyer and Levi Mosier.

He exemplified kindness and charity, always embodying the values he had been taught.
