He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Mitchell of Richmond, Kentucky; his siblings, Betty Payton, Dennis Mitchell and Bruce Mitchell; his children, Dwayne Mitchell and Kim Mitchell; and his stepchildren, Vanessa Downey, Wess Reynolds and Zondra Shannon.
