It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Marion Bowman Sr. (Berea, Kentucky), who passed away on April 25, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Nancy Ambrose Bowman; his former wife Betty Sergeant Bowman; his daughter Jennifer Bowman; and his brother Harold Bowman. He is survived by: his father Thomas O. Bowman; his wife Nancy Carrroll Bowman of Berea, KY; his children, James Marion Bowman, Jr., Nanci Duncan (Bob) of Jeffersontown, KY, Connie Harrison of Georgetown, KY and Mikki Moren (Matt) of Richmond, KY.; his stepson Jimmy Lunsford (Sherry); and his grandson James Marion Bowman, III (Catherine). He is also survived by Six great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Davis & Powell Funeral Home (616 Chestnut St, Berea, KY 40403). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
