He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Powell Elam; his children, Gary Daniel Elam (Emily) and Angela Elam Isaacs; his grandsons, Timothy Isaacs and Lucas Daniel Elam; and his siblings, Roger Elam (Glenda), Lana Bailey (Wayne) and Gail Gabbard (Conrad). He is also survived by other extended family and friends.
