She was predeceased by: her parents, Jess Peters and Etta Mae Peters. She is survived by: her daughter Marilyn Montes of Georgetown, KY; her grandsons, Jess Engle and Justin Engle; and her great grandchild Wren Engle of Berea, KY. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Outside of her family, her faith was the most important thing to her and she spent many hours a day studying her bible and, until the pandemic, never missed a Sunday church service if she could help it.
