He was predeceased by : his parents, Russell Powell and Norma Jean Lamb Powell; and his brother-in-law Heath Evans. He is survived by : his wife Vickie Jones Powell; his children, Felicia Miller (Ron), Ashley Baker (Daniel), Chris Shearer and Tori Shearer; his sisters, Lisa Kelly (Richard) and Jennifer Evans; and his grandchildren, Nathan Miller, Rylan Miller, Brayden Baker, Ava Baker and Jaxon Baker. He is also survived by numerous relatives, friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, June 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 1049 Richmond Rd N, Berea, KY 40403. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
