He was predeceased by: his father John Henry; his wife Betty Chasteen; his great grandchild Nova Marcum; and his siblings, James Chasteen, Wilburn Chasteen, Preston Chasteen and Aline Abrams.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kay Hembree, Crystal Flannery (Rick) and Dallie Martin (Stephen); his sister Christine Chasteen; his grandchildren, Erika Flannery (Willie Young), Dylan Flannery (Skylar), Zachery Chasteen (Kandi Gooch), Cheyene Hembree and Cierra Marcum (Austin); his stepgrandchildren, Franklin Hembree, Whitney Martin, Preston Martin and Katelyn Baldwin; his great grandchildren, Jakob, Isabella Young, Easton Flannery, Serenity, Brandon Hall, Nevaeh Chasteen and Autumn Marcum; and his stepgreat-grandsons, Alexander and Landon Baldwin.
