He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Layn and Rilda Chandler Layn; his son Christopher Dougles Layne; his sister Risse McDuffy Ramsey; and his close friend Gracie Huff.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Michael Lane (Connie Redhead), Beverly Read (Barry) and Kathi Layne; his sister Ramona Stylos; and his grandchildren, Matthew Layne, Alexa Metteri, Elizabeth Brownsen, David Barakat, Conor Bidelspach, Lukas Bidelspach, Tess Bidelspach and Christopher Michael Lane. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous relatives, friends.
