It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Turner (Berea, Kentucky), born in Jackson, Kentucky, who passed away on September 2, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Johnson and Elijah Johnson; her significant other Ronnie Sutton; her son Steve Sutton; her siblings, Dwight Johnson, Ellis B. Johnson, Joe Johnson and Little Dale Johnson; and her friend Hershel Turner.

She is survived by: her sons, Greg Sutton, Brian Chasteen and Troy VanWinkle; her siblings, Margie Carrier, Jay Johnson (Dorothy), Sue Gabbard and Ann Cail; her grandchildren, Amy Newton (Austin), Sydney Slone (Daniel), Shelby Chasteen, Sierra Michelle, Mattie Jane, Marlee Anna and Minnie Pearl; and her great grandchildren, Hallee, Hagen Newton, Nora, Hunter Slone and Ellie Chasteen.
