He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. Scott and Flossie V. Dill Scott; his wife Margie Parish Scott; his daughter Charlotte Scott Chilcutt; and his siblings, Erin Crider, Lucille Peterson, Arvil, Onice and J. C. Scott.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra J. Smith (William) of Calvert City, KY, Joe D. Scott of Murray, KY and Mark Scott (Elizabeth) of Buchanan, TN; his grandchildren, Christy Garland, Stacy Janusz, Tracy Suits, Robert Glen Barnett, Sarah Hampton, Chris Chilcutt and Blayne Scott; his great grandchildren, Philicady, Emily Garland, Jackson, Quinton, Sylvie Suits, Jacob, Tyler, Wyatt Young, Anna, Will Hampton, Walker Priestly Chilcutt, Naomi Chilcutt, Camilla and Henry Barnett; his son-in-law Robert Chilcutt of Dover, TN; and his caregivers, Cindy Redden, Jeanie Stamper, Kari Techaira, Sandy Goatley, Wendy Cobb, Jennifer Enoch, Cathy Vowell, Susan Carrico and Christy Prince. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McEvoy Funeral Home, Inc. (507 W Washington St, Paris, TN 38242). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the McEvoy Funeral Home (507 W Washington St, Paris, TN 38242).
