With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Edward Holmes D. O. of Benton, Kentucky, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on December 16, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Wilson Holmes and Mary Kathleen Crass Holmes; his daughter Ashley Dawn Holmes; and his sister Joann Gordon. He is survived by: his children, Lacey Hayden (Shawn) of Paducah, Katy Holmes of Malibu, California, Adam Holmes (Daniera) of Benton, Dustin Holmes of McCroy, Yancey Holmes (Jean) of Melbourne, James Holmes (Courtney) of Paducah and Justin Holmes of Dexter; and his grandchildren, Alexandra Holmes, Madison Holmes, Bonnie Higginbotham, Justin Higginbotham, Kayla Holmes, Peyton Holmes, Cameron Holmes and James Holmes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
