She was predeceased by: her parent Onnie "Doc" Gipson; her husband Mayhew Higgins; her son Louis Allen Darnall; and her siblings, Cathrine Mathis, Rebecca Louise Owens, Mamie Jo South, Jimmie Sue Chance, Carl Woodrow Gipson, Paul Gipson, Rudell Gipson and Harold Gipson.
She is survived by: her daughter Kathy Chance (Michael) of Benton; her siblings, Patricia Thompson of Marshall County and Kenneth Gipson (Sue) of Grand Rivers; her grandsons, Craig Thomas Clark (Kaitlyn) and William Michael Chance (Molly); and her great grandchildren, Garrett Thomas Clark, Finley Kay Clark, Isla Jean Clark and Neecy May Chance. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
