She was predeceased by: her husband Ronnie Covington; her parents, Obba Joines and Geneva Joines; her brother Rondell "Rod" Joines; her brother-in-law Eddie Bowers; her parents-in-law, Wesley and Zella Covington; and her brother-in-law Randall Covington.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tonya Ewing and Marla Woodward (Eric); her grandchildren, Courtney Ewing, Hunter Woodward and MaKayla Woodward; her siblings, Gina Bowers and Butch Joines (Donna); and her pet Thumper. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church.
