She was predeceased by: her husband Bob Hensley. She is survived by: her children, Karen Pawlak (Bob) and Steve Hensley (Rochelle); her grandchildren, Dan, Jason, Tyler, Ramey, Perry, Laney and Roland; and her sisters-in-law, Marlene Ramey and Mary Jane Killebrew. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.

“I was not able to attend the memorial service, but I need to tell you how loved Joanne was...by myself and others. I sat next to her for a few years at Parkside's Ladies Bible Study, and she was the coolest octogenarian I knew! We shared laughs, lessons and prayers and a love of Jesus that transcended our generational gap. I regret I didn't see her much recently, but she was often in my prayers and she will continue to remain in my heart. Much love to her family.”
