He was predeceased by: his wife Geraldine; his son David W. Meyer; and his siblings, Chester Matherly, Mary Foster (Walter) and Bernell Boettinger (Art).

He is survived by: his children, Betty West (Wayne) and Albert W. Meyer (Carol); and his brother James Matherly (late Helen). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren & ten great great grandchildren.
