He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Dotson and Lillian Prater Dotson; and his siblings, Hazel McCoy, Ethel Woods, Nora Maynard, Lula Blankenship, Armedia Lell, Laura Belle Dotson, Polly Prater, James L. Dotson, Anthony W. Dotson Jr. (Steve), Charles Dotson and Jesse Dotson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Diane Lynn Coleman (Robert) of Panther, W. VA and Brenda Leigh Biechlin of Chesapeake Va; his stepdaughter Lisa Joy Dotson of Chillicothe Ohio; his siblings, Elizabeth Ann Phillpott (Kenneth) of Berryville, VA, MacArthur Dotson of Woodman, Milton Eugene Dotson (Carolyn) of Toler, Clarence Jr. Dotson of Oklahoma and William Dotson (Nona) of Kansas; and his nieces, Kristi Adkins (Ro) of Hope and Regina Sneed (Timmy) of Woodman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
