She was predeceased by: her husband Justice; her parents, Seymore McElwain and Bessie McElwain; and her siblings, Herman McElwain, Arlo McElwain, Barnie McElwain, R. B. "Pete" McElwain and Icy Wester.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen Galyen (Mitch); her granddaughters, Megan Kirby (Shad), Lauren McDowell (Bret), Justine Diedrich (Drew) and Gracie Galyen; her great grandchildren, Ross Kirby, Madeline McDowell and Mollie McDowell; her sister Golda Harris; and also Linda Jackson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
