It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Travis of Beechmont, Kentucky, who passed away on January 12, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nealie Travis and Lillie Mae Travis; his former wife Reatha Travis; his stepdaughters, Sharon Cummings and June Culbertson; his sisters, Myrtle Mercer, Lorene Phillips and Geneva Travis; and his stepgrandson Ethan Clark.

He is survived by: his wife Belle Reynolds Travis; his sons, Marris Travis (Patsy) of Browder, Neal Travis (Von) of Belton, Mickey Travis (Shirley) of Bremen, Roger Travis (Linda) of Beechmont and Terry Travis (Norene) of Beechmont; his stepson Cartwright of Brandenburg; his daughter Linda Taylor (Rick) of Beechmont; and his stepdaughter Glenda Ferguson of Louisville. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
