It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris M. Hunt (Beechmont, Kentucky), born in Penrod, Kentucky, who passed away on February 7, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Dorris R. Hunt; her parents, Thornt McElwain and Sally McElwain; her brothers, Marvine and Lawrence McElwain; and her son-in-law Shelby Heltsley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Veronica Heltsley (Shelby) of Belton, KY, Odette Mayes (Mark) of Smyrna, TN and Rolande Gardner (Lawrence) of Dunmor, KY; her grandchildren, Jeff, Rex, Jasper, Jonathon, Kevin, Keith, Matthew, Andrew, Amber and Arisa; and also Gale Hunt of Owensboro, KY. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and 2 nieces.
A burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home (536 Bradford Rd, Beechmont, KY 42326). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
